Description:This system is used for reporting annual and quarterly mortality statistics within Australia. The system processes raw registrar (registrar of Birth, Deaths and Marriages) files for all states and territories throughout Australia via SAS ETL into Oracle 10g databases. Oracle records are processed via PL/SQL stored procedures triggered by Lotus and Lotus Enterprise Integrator (LEI).
The processing system uses LEI to move data into the lotus notes database via scripted activities from Oracle databases. Users adjust and maintain data via the lotus database adding additional demographic data to the records for publishing.
The application integrates into several other Mortality systems. Data supplied from National Coroners Information System (NCIS) is also integrated into the system.
